Rugged Tablet PCs

The Samwell RUGGEDBOOK SR800 is a rugged Tablet PC for applications that require mobility in the field without giving up the power and versatility of a full-function Intel Core-based Windows computer. With a large 10.4-inch display, dual-mode touch and digitizer input, excellent onboard connectivity, long battery life, GPS and 3.5G communication support, and inherent ruggedness, the SR800 is a perfect lightweight, ergonomic solution for the field. A magnesium-alloy housing, rubber bumpers, a wide operating temperature range, and the ability to withstand shock, vibration and exposure to dust and rain facilitate maximum reliability and endurance outdoors and on the job. The somewhat smaller RUGGEDBOOK SR820 offers Intel Atom-based netbook functionality and efficiency in a lightweight and very compact, yet fully rugged, tablet with a wide-format 8.9-inch WSVGA display. It's always good to hear about new applications and contract wins for rugged tablet computers. Samwell announced it has sold its RUGGEDBOOK SR800 10.4-inch rugged tablet to ABB Switzerland. Samwell RUGGEDBOOK earns Taiwan Government Joint Procurement Program Status
